The Inglis Easter Yearling Sale has long been a proven source of Group 1 winners with many of the headliners setting record bids and the 2018 sale was no different.

This years sale proved strong at the top end but value was found in the mid tier market which
was soft. This price range gave us the opportunity to target a select number of value yearlings
and we came home with a group which will appeal to all owners budgets.

We secured a strong, forward filly for $140,000 on day two of the sale by the Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win. We inspected over 400 yearlings over 4 days with this filly standing out throughout, she was strong, athletic with an excellent overstep and temperament.

Shooting To Win was a Group 1 winner at 3, beating now stallions Wandjina & Rich Enuff in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas before retiring to stud where his yearlings have topped $340,000 in the ring with an aggregate of $6.1m.

The filly is out the unraced Commands mare Premeditated who is half sister to the Group 3 winner Malice and stakes placed Sanctioned. The fillys page has black type in all generations which includes the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth winner CRITERION, stakes winner Moqueen and group 2 placed Money Rocks & Beauty Express.

This filly qualifies for both BOB BONUS and INGLIS RACE SERIES.

The Racing NSW Breeder Owner Bonus Scheme (BOBS) has been operating since 2003. In the 2015-16 racing season over $11 million was paid out in cash bonuses and Double-Up vouchers, bringing the total since the scheme’s
inception to over $112 million.
To be eligible for BOBS a racehorse must be sired by a NSW-based stallion for which the Stallion Nomination Fee has been paid (see Sires List on the website). That stallion’s progeny may then be advertised or sold as weanlings
or yearlings as “BOBS-eligible.”
Owners are then required to nominate the horse for a fee of $990. This is
done when the horse is about to turn two-years-old or has just done so. Your
horse can then win a bonus payment of up to $20,000 for each win on NSW track (except

Inglis Millenium Game Changer

Inglis have announced a game changer which will make it more worth while
racing your horses in NSW. Not only have they created a new state of the art complex but they have injected $8m into the Inglis race series with their most prestigious races being run at WARWICK FARM.
We now have a new $2million race for 2YOs and a $1million race for 3YOs,
read all about it below. The introduction of the $2m Inglis Millennium, which will have its first running in February 2019, will leave only the Group 1 Golden Slipper worth more prizemoney for a 2YO race in the southern hemisphere.
The changes are a part of the new-look Inglis Race Series, which will now be worth a record $8m.
Inglis and the Australian Turf Club have combined to formulate an outstanding race day on the second Saturday of February each year – starting in 2018 – to coincide with the opening night’s selling of the company’s first annual sale, the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at Riverside Stables.
The 2018 Inglis Race Day, on Saturday February 10, will feature the $250,000 Inglis Classic (2YOs, 1200m) and $250,000 Inglis Sprint (3YOs, 1100m) alongside the Group 2 Breeders Classic, Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes and several other quality races.
The 2019 race day will see the introduction of the $2million Inglis Millennium
as well as the revamped $1m Inglis Sprint for 3YOs.
All yearlings purchased through an Inglis sale ring in 2018 will be eligible for
the new races at the Warwick Farm meeting from 2019, should owners pay
up for the race series upon purchase.
