From a good 3 to a heavy 10 our gutsy filly BROOK MAGIC aka, 'Pixie' will always sprint her heart out to win.

After two encouraging trials at her home track 'Pixie' was on her way to Royal Randwick for her first up run this prep. Drawn barrier 1, with a 2kg claim from in form apprentice Jean Van Overmeire, we were feeling quietly confident that she would run a competitive race. The punters were less quiet about how confident they were feeling, backing her into second favourite at $3.90 on the day!

Our main threat in the race was Darley horse REVENIRE, ridden by Tye Angland, who was backed into favourite at $3.20. However our determind little lady battled past the pack to get her nose infront over the 1100m dash.

"It was a tough performance, there were some nice horses in that race and she fought hard to put her head in front" said Van Overmeire. When asked if there was much improvement left in BROOK MAGIC Van Overmeire responded "I think so, there's still a bit to come from her and she'll come out of this race better."

Pride Racing would like to congratulate Proven Thoroughbreds owners and connections on their winning result.
