OUR MANTRA produced an impressive finish to break his maiden when claiming the Casino Prince@Vinery Plate over 1200 metres at Warwick Farm Wednesday.

OUR MANTRA ($5) was taken quietly out of the gates settling along the rail before being hooked wide approaching the turn by jockey Corey Brown. With a blistering final run over the final 100 metres, OUR MANTRA rocketed home to beat the David Pfieffer trained READYCATGO ($3.40F) by 0.8 lengths with IMPROVISE ($5.50) trained by Chris Waller a length third.

Three year old OUR MANTRA is the fifth winner for Scenic mare Truly Elegant (NZ). He was a $160K purchase from the Attunga Stud draft at the 2016 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. After two placings last preparation, the son of Sebring was able to score the win at his first start this prep.

Trainer Joe Pride said after the race "He was super relaxed today and the best part of the race was the last bit. We're not sure how far he's going to get but he could end up a carnival horse". Congratulations to all connections.
