Easy Eddie returned to the winners enclosure on his seasonal debut with an assertive win at Canterbury following one trial. The son of Super Easy drew an inside barrier and this proved to be his advantage. The barriers sprung open and he raced to a soft lead before rounding the turn at the 500m mark. He drew clear by
3 lengths and held off the late challenge for a half length win.

The 3 year old has always shown above average ability and his record continues to improve with the gelding collecting nearly $90,000 from his 8 starts for 3 wins and 2 seconds. Joe intends to target the gelding at more metro races before stepping up in class but we were pleased with his pattern of racing and attitude to win.
