On Saturday 7th July LA CHICA BELLA and leading metro apprentice Rachel King teamed up for another metro win. Bella, carrying 58kg's jumped as the $4 favourite from barrier 6 in a field of 7. With no speed in the race and 600 metres before the first turn, Bella had plenty of time to jump and settle just on pair behind the leader. At the home turn King encouraged Bella to meet the leader and as they straightened the game was on. Bella kicked into gear and battled on to win the race by half a length over Chris Waller trained SEPOY ACHEVA, ridden by Jay Ford.

La Chica Bella has won 5 races from 13 starts and has earned over $200,000 in prize money. She's by Chilean stallion, HOST and out of Aussie mare, ALAZEYA.
