Joe Pride is very excited about getting this colt to the stables. Watch this video of the colt and hear Joes thoughts. Click here /

He ticked every box on our very strict criteria, and the most important one, which is VALUE
Type: He is an outstanding athlete. Not too heavy or bulky, beautifully in proportion. Perfectly balanced and a lovely mover. He is exactly what we look for in our colts. Athleticism matched with a lovely confirmation.
Breeding: He is the son of Black Caviars brother, Group 1 winner All Too Hard. I was certian this year was the year to buy an All Too Hard. His oldest progeny are only 3 years old, and im sure this Autumn that All Too Hard will stamp himself as the real deal. Everyone was off him too quickly when he didn’t get an early 2 year old. Now is the time to buy one before his horses explode as Autumn 3 year olds. If they do, like I expect, you won’t be able to buy one next year!

This colt is the first foal out of a lightly raced Zabeel mare in Smiles For Naara, who is a half sister to Group 2 winner Ruud Not Too. Its a lovely NZ family. Zabeel mare, from a O’Reilly mare, from a Sir Tristram mare!

Breeding Cross: The All Too Hard x Zabeel breeding cross is already proven. The best horse by All Too Hard is a horse called “Demonetization” in New Zealand. He has won 3 times from 4 starts, including the Group 2 Auckland Guineas. He is expected to be a huge player in the Autumn carnival. And, Demonetization is out of a Zabeel mare!

Value: This colt was purchased for $110,000 plus GST. We rated him equal with another All Too Hard colt in the sale. We couldn’t split them, and he sold for $260,000 plus GST. We valued our colt at almost double his purchase price!

Attitude: This colt is such a professional. We inspected him several times, and each time he paraded beautifully. Even in the pre-parade ring before being sold, we loved the way he handled himself. He has the perfect attitude.
