BALL OF MUSCLE has run second in the Group 2 SHORTS in 2015, 2016 and 2017 but this year he showed everyone what he's really made of as he fought hard and got his nose in front, beating $2.70 favourite INVINCIBLE STAR trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott.

Ridden by Glyn Schofield, our 8 year old gelding by DUBAWI (IRL) out of PARFORE (NZL) is a real trooper having won over $1,000,000 in prize money!

BALL OF MUSCLE, known fondly as Cub, ran the race in his own true style as he exploded from barrier 5 and was in the lead within a blink of an eye!

Cub powered along leaving every other horse in the field off the bridle by the 400 metre mark and despite the favourite kicking on late, Cub was already too far in front and stayed there as he tore through the finishing line.

Cub truly left everyone amazed as he won The Heath Group 3 at Caufield first up this prep and just 14 days later travelled back down to Sydney and won the Group 2 SHORTS! Our handsome 8 year old is in marvellous order and we couldn't be more delighted for all of his owners and connections.
