There wasn't a single doubt that lovely ALNAAS, who's fondly known around the stable as 'Ally', was going to run a good strong race at Hawkesbury following her previous run at Gosford where she was placed second.

Our pretty four year old bay mare made the step up in trip to 1300 metres following her previous runs over 1200 metres. On the day, the extra 100 metres made all the difference as she beat Bjorn Baker trained favourite MISSYBEEL ($2.40F) by a long head.

The class 2 was run on ground rated a soft 7 and with loyal jockey Jay Ford taking the ride, we were even more quietly confident that it was going to be a good race.

Ally jumped smoothly and settled contently towards the rear of the field. She travelled quietly until just before the home turn where Jay asked her to squeeze on forward as they cruised wide around the bend and into the straight. Ally battled hard and by the 50 metre mark, was just a nose behind the leader. Encouraged on by Jay, Ally knuckled down and got the win just in the nick of time as she hit the line hard.

Pride Racing are extremely proud of how tough Ally was at Hawkesbury and would like to congratulate Mr and Mrs Kelly on their win.
